GO is a sequential series of exercises and games that help break performers of habits and mannerisms, spark movement invention, build ensemble and listening skills, and can be used by choreographers and directors to generate group-authored performances. GO is a physically and mentally demanding practice that allows participants to make significant progress in a short amount of time. Using the GO games, performers lose self-consciousness, stop self-criticizing, and find new vocabulary; and the workshop group quickly becomes a working ensemble capable of making group decisions moment to moment. GO games have been performed by RGWW (Rosanna Gamson/World Wide) as stand-alone events in dance and theater festivals in Europe, and used by other choreographers to create material in their studios. This masterclass is for students in BCD and CMD ONLY.
