Lucy Blumling is a 2021 OCSA Graduate. She is a senior at Scripps College where she majors in biology with a minor in French and Francophone studies on the pre-med track. On campus, Lucy is involved with a myriad of academic and extra curricular activities. She is an introductory biology lab teaching assistant and tutor, research assistant in a plant genomics lab and a freshman seminar mentor. She is also co-president of Mood Swing A Cappella, apart of the leadership team for Scripps Advocates, a peer-to-peer support service for survivors of sexual and domestic violence, as well as a college volunteer at Pomona Valley Regional Hospital and House of Ruth. After her undergraduate studies, Lucy plans to pursue a masters of public health before fulfilling her ultimate goal of going to medical school to become a pediatrician. She has special interests in public and global health, women’s health, genetics and medical innovation.
